Driving Instructor Jobs Profile in United States
A Driving Instructor teaches students how to operate vehicles in order to gain their driver’s permits and licenses. A Driving Instructor operates in both a classroom setting and alongside the student in a training vehicle.

A Driving Instructor may work for a commercial driving school or within their own practice.

A Driving Instructor:

  • introduces students to vehicles’ instrument panels and controls
  • teaches students to identify and understand road markings and signs
  • instructs students on how to mechanically operate a vehicle, use brakes, turn, and park
