Installer Jobs in United States
An Installer is required to perform the following tasks:
  • maintaining and observing equipment and machinery to verify efficient and safe operation
  • testing machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning
  • adjusting, connecting, or disconnecting wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand and power tools
  • installs or replaces machinery, equipment and new or replacement parts and instruments
  • cleans or lubricates vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects
  • applies protective materials to equipment, components, and parts to prevent defects and corrosion
  • transfers tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas
  • disassembles broken or defective equipment to facilitate repair and reassemble equipment when repairs are complete
  • assembles and maintains physical structures
  • provides assistance to more qualified workers involved in the adjustment, maintenance, part replacement, and repair of tools, equipment and machines

Installer jobs require knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. An Installer requires knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures, knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
